How it Works!

1. PLAN A PARTY IN THE MONTH OF MAY OR JUNE for a Holiday like Cinco de Mayo or Memorial Day, or a birthday, anniversary or for no specific occasion at all and invite your friends and family! You can also plan a VIRTUAL EVENT online through Facebook or another form of online media.
2. REGISTER YOUR EVENT BY SENDING US AN "EMAIL" WITH "HOUSE PARTY" IN THE SUBJECT LINE. INCLUDE YOUR NAME, EMAIL, DATE OF PARTY, TYPE OF PARTY AND YOUR FUNDRAISING GOAL AND THEN WE'LL SEND YOU YOUR Party Tool Kit to get started including a sample invitation, party ideas, documentation of tax exempt status, information about foster care and Fostering Imagination for guests to take home and talking points for a brief discussion
3. SET A FUNDRAISING GOAL for a chance to WIN a week stay at the #1 Bed and Breakfast in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.

• For example, a host might have a game night for twenty, and ask for donations of $25 per person, to reach a goal of $500.00.
• A host might plan a Taco & Margarita Fiesta for Cinco de Mayo for twenty-five, and ask for donations of $20 per person, to reach a goal of $500.00.
• A host could have a Memorial Day BBQ for 50, with a donation of $20 per person, to reach a goal of $1,000.
• Another host could plan a Volleyball Tournament at the beach for 150 and ask for a donation of $10 per person, to reach a goal of $1500.
• Or a host might plan an elegant dinner party for ten, and ask for donations of $250 per person, to reach a goal of $2500.
• Or a host may celebrate the birthday of their young child and ask for a $20.00 donation to bring awareness to foster care in lieu of presents.
• Or a business may host a special day at their place of business (restaurant, theatre…) and 20% of sales are donated to Fostering Imagination.
  The possibilities are endless.
