Mentors

Come meet our amazing youth and create a bond with them, providing them the guidance, support and nurturing they need to succeed. Most of our mentors say that they receive so much more out of the experience than they could ever expect.

Tutors

We need Math and English tutors to help our youth. If you can travel to different parts of LA that would be a plus!

Job Shadowing

Our youth are at the age where they are exploring what they want to be when they grow up. If you would like to share what you do with one of our youth and open a door for them, please contact us.

Internships and Job Opening

Does your job offer internships or have job openings. Our youth are eager to work and become productive citizens, all they need is an opportunity. Please contact us if you have any opportunities for our youth.

Event Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in joining our event committee to help plan and implement our 2010 fundraisers. Some of the duties include: obtaining silent auction donations, food/beverage, decor, sponsorships and marketing.

Public Relations Committee Members

We are looking for volunteers to join our PR Committee to help bring attention and gain support for Fostering Imagination through local, regional and national news coverage of its causes and events. They will also help prep FI board members and staff for interaction with the press, and to wrangle talent at events and fundraisers. We desire outgoing individuals with a well established list of local news contacts.

Grant Writers

We are looking for motivated and dedicated individuals to help seek out and write grants for our cause. You would be under the supervision of our lead grant writer and would report to that person directly.

Board Members

We are looking for committed board members with a variety of experience to help Fostering Imagination grow in 2010 and beyond. The Board meet once a month. Each member also heads a committee. Our Board is a working board and is very involved with fundraising and community outreach. We are looking for individuals with a background in grantwriting, PR, sponsorships and special events.
