When “Lexi”, age 15 joined FI, she was a quiet, shy young girl, but over the past 3 years we have watched her grow in to a confident and talented young lady. Abandoned by her parents to be raised by her grandmother, “Lexi” found a home with FI. “Fostering Imagination is more than part of my family, it’s a part of my body. Every week I look forward to Saturdays when I can see my FI Family. They gave me more self-esteem…and since coming here I have grown in every aspect. Fostering Imagination is everything to me.” “Lexi’s” 12 yr old cousin joined us this year and is as shy and quiet as “Lexi” used to be, but since starting with us 8 weeks ago she already writes,“ When I am with FI, I feel like another person, that has a lot of energy, but it feels funny because I am not like that normally, but in FI another part of me comes out…thanks to FI I have discovered another me.”
