FI's Mission

Fostering Imagination mentors at-risk, displaced foster youth in Los Angeles through free, structured one-on-one creative arts and social development programs. FI programs impart stability, responsibility and self-esteem building to unlock personal potential and empower youth to become positive peers, future mentors and community role models.

FI's Objective

FI targets foster youth ages 12-19 who live on the fringes of the frail LA foster-care system, often experiencing multiple residential placements in a single year. FI lowers barriers to activity enrollment by providing free transportation to and from programs, as well as growing satellite programs in smaller communities throughout Los Angeles.
